Mother's Day Fun

Chad and the kids bought me a new camera for Mother's Day and I wanted to try it out. We spent an hour or so at the Safari Zoo and here are just some of the animals that we saw. The kids loved it, especially when one of the second animal down started to rub his nose on the side of the truck. Mom on the other hand thought he was going to try to get in the truck with us. We spent the morning taking my mom out to lunch and then had dinner with Chad's mom. We had a fun filled day with the Mom's we love so much!

We have walls!

Well we are all moved out of our old house and living in a temporary place in Dundee. We are living in Chad's grandma's duplex that came open just in time. We now have the whole outside of the new house and the walls and stairs are up inside. They are moving along at a good rate and say it will be done by the end of July.

Mother Nellie!

Nellie LOVES to play with her baby dolls and she has been known to line them up and feed them and talk to them. The other day Chad went upstairs and found her reading to them. She had them all lined up on the floor next to her bed and she was sitting in her stroller and reading a book to them like her teacher does at school. Here are a few pictures that he was able to get before she realized he was behind her. She is such a mother sometimes, she has even been heard talking to them and telling them them to stop being naughty.

Visitor

A couple of weekends ago Karen come and visit them and they got to meet their new cousin Helena who is only 3 months old. The kids enjoyed the visit from their Aunt who they hadn't seen since they came to live with us. Grandma Linda says that Helena looks like Nellie when she was a baby.

Teamwork

This is what I call teamwork, yesterday the kids were outside playing and Wesley wanted to know if the dog poop had been cleaned up yet. I had told him that I had not done it yet and would work on it later. The next thing I knew when I looked outside Wesley and Nellie were outside working together to get the dog poop picked up. I had told them that they didn't have to pick up the poop, but they said that they were having fun. Wesley told me that he was going to clean up the poop every time he went out back to play. Oh to be a kid, as this is a job that I hate doing.

Toothless Wonder

Sorry it has been awhile since I have blogged. This past week we have had some sick people in our house. On Monday Wesley and Rakel were home sick and they are still fighting off the colds that they got. Tuesday Wesley went back to school and came home with one of his front teeth missing, he was so excited. Well then as the week went on his other tooth came loose and he let Chad pull it on Sunday night. Here are some pictures of our toothless wonder.

We put ours up for sale this past weekend. The builder hopes to begin ours within in the next few weeks. We are going to be staying in Bellevue. Our new home will be in Clearwater Falls, which is off of 42nd and Capehart Rd. Here is a link to the neighborhood, we are lot # 74.

The kids are very excited to build a new home. When we went out to the model last weekend they were telling the real estate agent which room was going to be each of theirs. Wesley even got in the bed in the room that he thought was going to be his.

Pretty Girl!

Here are some pictures of Nellie showing off her pretty hair from tonight. When I got home from work the first thing she asked me was if I would put a pony in her hair. Well, I could get the pony in, so we did pigtails. Her hair has grown and changed so much over the last 10 months.

Weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Shade's

We decided that we wanted to get away for a weekend and all piled in the car after Wesley got out of school on the 16th and headed to Olathe for the weekend to stay with Grandma and Papa Shade. The kids were so excited to go stay at Grandma and Papa's house again. The only thing that Wesley would talk about was going to the restaurant where it storms and Science City. We headed out early Saturday afternoon to to eat at the Rain Forest Cafe, and when we got there it had closed down. Nellie was so disappointed, she cried all the way to the car. So then we went down to Crown Center and ate at the train restaurant as Wesley calls it. After lunch we headed over to Science City for a few hours. It was fun to watch Nellie, as the last time we went there she really didn't leave her mom's side. This time as you can see from the pictures that she really did enjoy it. We headed back home for dinner and to spend some quality time together as a family. We all enjoyed our time with Grandma and Papa Shade and Wesley is already talking about the next time we go there the things that he wants to do again. I have put some pictures on here of Wesley, Nellie, Chad, and Papa Shade at Science City.
